No news is good news right? Well actually no news = no news. From a technology standpoint things have been quiet lately. Aside from the search for a new home printer very little has been done over the past two weeks that's all that exciting or noteworthy.
That being said I haven't been idle. With two small children, a home and other responsibilities I've found life less technical but far from boring. The good news is that I have a crab fishing trip slated for next week so in the least there will be a small bit of fodder for the old website.

I feel the need to reorganize, to rethink the structure and tone of this site. It's not that I'm out of material. The truth is that I'm largely uninspired by recent events, happenings and Internet buzz that is relevant to this site's theme. That being the case I've initiated a house cleaning.
The major change you will notices is a shift in content under the "work" and "personal" section. I've simplified the topics under the "work" section now called IT which will continue to feature technology tales from the trenchs. The "personal" section was expanded to feature more descreet sections dedicated to my specific roles. |

After nearly two years I FINALLY have the audio feeds working again. Last night I posted the first new content on the old podcast feed since January 2005. It took a few minutes to reacquaint myself with the procedure for posting to the old feed but needless to say when you write code it works with out a hitch years after you created it.
For a while I've wanted to add audio content to the site but was not until recently able to find a Joomla plug-in that handles podcast enclosures. The plug-in component I'm using now provides an easy way to post content as well as for visitors to play the audio. Right now I have it configured to just a Flash based player but you can also use QuickTime or just embed the link. Any feedback would be helpful.
As a side note I plan to keep the old "Auto Audio" podfeed going by pushing all of the motor sport themed material in that direction. That and everything else will also be available through the main feed on this site also.
